Recently I wasn’t sure if “Anonymous” was actually part of $cientology, or not. Since I’ve talked to more than one person who says they are a part of Anonymous—and done some further research…I’ve realized I was wrong, and I’m happy to admit it.
My view stays the same about legal or not. Tonight, as an example, on Channel 9, there was a piece about “Hackers, hacking Scientology’s web sites”. The UCLA representative spoke about how “The hackers claim they are doing this as Scientology has been using the Internet to stop free speech. However, they hacking their Web sites is also stopping free speech”.
See how that worked? Did that educate people about Scientology’s abuses? You *might* think so, but if you saw the piece–it basically skimmed over that, and onto how “The Hackers are stopping free speech”.
That was my major point. Scientology WILL use this as “PR” to align with other religions: “Look what is happening to us. You’d better help us as THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU”.
Also, instead of talking about TC’s Video or Andrew’s new book, (Both things Scientology DOESN’T want seen)— they’re doing a piece on hacking, basically against you all.
It diffuses Scientology’s abuses, making yours seem equally as bad. I’m just trying to help you all see what works, and what doesn’t. If all you want is press, well, you got it.
If you want to effectively expose the utter abuses you are against please make sure you’re doing it in a way that really helps.
I was going to say “we”–but since that’s a sensitive issue (as some may not agree with what I’m going to say, I’ll just stick with *I*-even though I know many agree on this)
I know Scientology *cannot* handle the truth. I know facts about their supposed religion, actual things they’ve done, they cannot handle. I KNOW that things like the TC video SHOW their mind control.
I know many critics and many X-Scientologists who have spent years exposing this insidious cult and have done so with great persistence. As a result of these actions, Scientology *has* decreased, and MANY people are free, myself included! These are all EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE.
Please learn from this, and make sure you do things legally, that helps expose this insidious CULT. Please do *not* give them material to use as “PR”. That helps no one, except them.
The people I’ve spoken to have told me they will not be doing illegal things, and I thank each of you. Bottom line you have to think:
Do we want to create *an* effect, or do we want to help people so their lives can change, forever. Certainly with the volumes of people it seems who are involved …if you just worked on making videos exposing Scientology’s abuses, and possibly picketed, you’d be making serious changes.
Get creative! You have youth on your side, you have many “Communication Lines” (People you’re in touch with, that you can pass on critical web sites to).
If you just took on educating kids about Scientology–think how effective that would be!
